Q.

my baby boy is 18 months old but he is not gaining weight even after giving all that food which should be given and he walks on his (panja) most of the time , I am very worried about this, is this a serious concern? please suggest doctor

A. dear Mum, for healthy weight gain of your 18 months old baby, Give top food 4 to 5 times a day and up to one katori every time. Also give one healthy snack in between. Give nuts like almond, dry fruits. All seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, milk and milk products, chicken. At least 500 ml of milk and milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. Avoid fruit juice and instead give the whole fruit.

A. hi kindly mention weight too anyways, if child weighs around 7.7 to 10 kg then no need to worry as kids learn to walk at this stage of age, initially it is ok for them to Walk like this
