A. walking with support will come any time between 9 months to 15 months of age. walking without support will come maximum by 18 months of age so before that there is no need to worry and you have to just continue regular diet of the child( food made from cereals pulses fruitsd veggies milk) as well as baby massage and regular massage will also help in improving the muscle strength which will help in walking. regular encouragement for the child to walk d

A. It's not uncommon for some babies to start walking a bit later. Here are some tips to encourage your one-year-old to start walking: ### Tips to Encourage Walking 1. **Encourage Standing**: - **Supportive Furniture**: Place toys on low furniture to encourage your baby to pull up and stand. - **Standing Games**: Play games that require standing, like rolling a ball back and forth while standing. 2. **Cruising**: - **Furniture Cruising**: Encourage your baby to move along furniture by placing interesting objects just out of reach. - **Cruise-and-Walk Toys**: Use sturdy push toys that your baby can hold onto while walking. 3. **Assisted Walking**: - **Hold Hands**: Walk with your baby while holding their hands for support. - **Walking Harness**: Consider using a walking harness designed for babies to give them confidence and support. 4. **Barefoot Time**: - Allow your baby to go barefoot as much as possible. This helps them feel the ground and develop balance. 5. **Strengthening Exercises**: - **Tummy Time**: Strengthens neck, shoulder, arm, and back muscles. - **Sitting and Reaching**: Encourage your baby to reach for toys while sitting to improve balance and muscle coordination. 6. **Positive Reinforcement**: - **Cheer and Encourage**: Celebrate small milestones and efforts with claps and cheers to boost your baby’s confidence. - **Patience**: Every baby develops at their own pace. Be patient and avoid pressuring your child. ### Activities to Encourage Walking - **Obstacle Course**: Create a safe obstacle course with pillows and toys to encourage crawling, standing, and walking. - **Playdates**: Watching other children walk can motivate your baby to try walking. ### When to Consult a Doctor - If your baby is not standing with support by 12 months or not making any effort to walk by 18 months, consider consulting a pediatrician. They can check for any underlying issues and provide further guidance. Every child develops at their own pace, and with support and encouragement, your baby will likely start walking soon.
