Q.

My baby boy got vaccinated yesterday and got two injections of DTP, IPV, HIB, PCV boosters in both his thighs. Now left of his leg is swollen and he is experiencing a lot of pain and is not able to walk and limping. What should i do to relax him? Plz suggest.

A. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swellingg g you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. this is common to get a lump swelling redness pain in the vaccination area.. you can use ice cube to rub around the vaccination area to reduce pain.. you can give calpol Or crocin drops as doctor advice.. take care.
