Q.

My baby born with 2.3 kgs after 10 days he came to 2.140 kgs… After one month he weights 3.12 kgs.. I am giving exclusive breastfeed for every 2 hours.. he use to take 15-20 mins in his first month now he is taking only 5-10 mins and sometimes 15-20 mins. What should I do to gain his weight please suggest apart from breastfeed any vitamin drops needed to increase his weight

A. no medication should be given till one year of age. it's good to give exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months complete. During first two months you should maintain a gap of two hours between two feedings. But after completing two months it is advisable to feed your baby only on demand and do not give any forceful feeding on particular timings

A. What about weight gain.. he was 2.3kgs when he’s born now he’s 3.12 kgs is it normal
