A. yes you can give 1 ml twice daily but if it is not improving in two or three days meet your doctor
kindly give nasal saline drops every three hourly and since it is a salt water it does not have any side effects and can be given again and again for nasal blockage and try to prevent temperature variations on the child and you can also give indirect steam inhalation and if there is no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor

A. maam you must always consult your pediatrician itself once before giving any medicine yo the baby. if baby has had child earlier and you have given this medicine then it should be ok to give. but the dosage may be changed as weight has increased. hence better to consult your pediatrician itself once.
Washing your hands often can be a very simple thing to do to keep the germs away. While some germs can only be spread through coughing or sneezing, plenty of germs can be passed through objects and touch. Opt for a soap that will be gentle on your hands. Avoid anti-bacterial soaps! In most cases, just washing with a gentle soap is good enough
You can use humidifier in the room...this will keep the air moist in the room and will not allow the mucus to harden. It will help to cure a runny nose and nasal congestion.
Keep the sleeping position slightly inclined and head slightly raised. In an elevated position basically to ease breathing.
No home remedy medicines are suggested for such small babies especially giving orally.
If you are using saline drops then store bought
are safer than home made as there is no risk of bacterial growth.
Please continue to breastfeed well as that is the best and safest form on nutrition for your baby and build immunity. The antibodies present in the breastmilk helps tye baby's bidy to build immunity against all types of germs and aids in proper hydration. Eat healthy and breastfeed your baby well.
Baby's clothing should be such to protect the chest from cold.
Keep baby's and your hands clean with water or baby wipes so that the germs don't spread.
Garlic and ajwain are known for its anti bacterial and anti viral properties. Dry roast 2 big cloves or garlic and ajwain on a tawa and once cooled make it into a potli or tight pouch with a clean muslin cloth. Place it near the baby cot or cradle where the baby sleeps. The ajwainy garlicky smoke from the potli will help the baby to open the blocked nose and relieve from congestion. You can just warm this a bit and rub the potli on the chest a few times. But make sure its warm not hot. Check the temperature on your hands first.
Give indirect steam....like sit in the bathroom with her with hot water running in the tap.this will create steam and will help loosen the mucus. make sure you both are away from the hot water bucket. Make your baby sit in your lap.
If baby has completed six months then give warm water at regular intervals to keep the baby well hydrated. Give some warm food....porridge, dal water, khichdi, watery soup .....will all boost the immunity.
You can apply the Vicks babyrub under the baby's feet and put on cotton socks when the baby goes to sleep.
