A. Toys and games. Baby dolls, furry critters and an engaging mama can distract your tearful tot during a fussing fit. ... Stick to a routine. ... Sign language. ... Watch for tell-tale cues. ... Be firm at bedtime. ... Check for medical issues.Irritability is a major symptom of teething. Expect your little one to be short-tempered and quick to cry during this period. Just like any other time when she is fussy, rocking, shushing and going for car rides can help soothe your baby.Swollen, tender gums.Fussiness and crying.A slightly raised temperature (less than 101 F)Gnawing or wanting to chew on hard things.Lots of drool, which can cause a rash on their face.Coughing.Rubbing their cheek or pulling their ear.Bringing their hands to their mouth.
