my 89 old baby used to poop within 3days when he was given formula feed in addition to breast feeding but after switching to breast feeding from 52nd day he was not pooping in a week and when we consult doctor he give suppositor. we used it 2 or 3 times. but without using suppositor he is not pooping. now it's the 4th day what to do??

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. constipation in small babies is very common and is more when you are giving formula milk in such a case you can give Himalaya bonnisan drops three times a day to your child and give frequent feeding. usually medicines or suppositories are avoided in such a case and constipation of few days can be considered as normal. if the baby is having gastric pain you caan give collimax drops.if you need to give any enzyme preparation to your child you can consult doctor.give puroper tummy time and burping for to avoid gastric trouble.
