Q.

my 8 months old baby got fever from last 5 days . his temperature goes very high(4.4° F ). Doctor told us to check his CBC and crp. in his CBC report his haemoglobin is 7gm. and he is infected as well. doctor suggested us for blood transfusion in the baby as he has a higher chances that fever attacks to his brain. what do you suggest? please give advice asap. Is blood transfusion safe for infants ?

A. yes blood transfusion is safe, it would be good to follow ur doctor advice.., Details of clinical examination and associated symptoms are required, it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment
