Q.
My 8 month old baby girl is having 100.1 fever suddenly out of no where. I am worried, however i gave her T98 drops

She is waking up at regular intervals also.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home rfhemedy to decrease fever.
Adeqfuate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 7 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello dear parent! It will reduce gradually. Give one more dosage after 6 to 8 hours depending on the severity of the symptoms. Consult your doctor for further assistance. Keep Babyhug medicine dropper handy
