My 8 month baby gain weight only 200gms in a month present weight is 7.2 kg from first month he is gaining 500 to 600 grams in a month ,he is taking solid food 3 to 4 times with mother feeding and playing actively, I am concerned about my baby if didn't gain weight in next month also, kindly suggest

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. most of the baby silver gaining proper weight in first 3 months of age upto 750 grams per month baby will have two times the birth weight at the end of five months and it is only three times but the weight at the end of one year

While all babies may grow at a different rate, the following is the average for boys and girls 7 to 9 months of age: Weight: average gain of 1 pound each month; boys usually weigh about ½ pound more than girls; 2 times the birth weight by 4 to 5 months and 3 times the birth weight by 1 year.
