my 79 daya old baby have nose block and coughing what to do

Anita N KamraGuardian of a 2 m old girl2 weeks agoA. Hi dear parents, A blocked nose and cough are quite normal in newborns. Check for the signs - A Blocked nose can be treated with a Saline solution which is sodium water safe for babies. 1-2 drops in each nostril will do the magic. it's safe to give 10-11 drops in a day as mentioned by our pediatrician. - Coughing is also normal while taking the feed. Sometimes my daughter coughs in sleep sometimes she makes sounds like she is choking. sometimes she coughs 4-5 times in a row when she wakes up hungry. It's all ok..unless your baby chest is heavy or there are signs of congestion. In case of feeding with a bottle please be mindful about the feed temperature should be at room temperature or a little warm you can test it on your wrist or back of the hand. Milk/feed must not be cold this can cause chest congestion. Visit the Doctor in case coughing is severe and your baby is not comfortable.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 10 yr 8 m old girl2 weeks agoA. hi see , getting blocked nose problem is very common problem you may cure it using nasal saline drops like naso clear but the thing is here your child is having coughing too which must be cured and need to visit your pediatrician for this
