my 7 years old baby speaks very less sentences doesn't speak properly severe iugr 7.95 gms born baby.we are planning to go nimhans Bangalore for detailed examination plz suggest .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak gusentences gproperly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr 2 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi good evening !! What about physical growth height, weight development and other milestones achievement, cognitive skills, speaking, resounding , IQ levels..??
If you observe delay in some milestones not responding to commends,less speech according to age then need to consult developmental pediatrician or child psychiatrist..
