My 7 months old has been diagnosed with cataract. Will my baby have to wear specs after the surgery?

Author of questionMom of a 5 yr old boy4 years agoA. Hie Arundhati.. the baby will need to wear thick glasses and do patching for several hours in a day. Surgery is just a small step.. Your hard work begins after the surgery

Kindly adivise what are the challages after surgery. will the baby be fixed artificial lens at this age or need to wear thick glass specs now.

Nandita BaranwalMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Hi, Please do as Opthmalogist suggest. In most cases, there is no use to use spects. Doc will suggest you properly in this respect according to the severity of situation. There are many options in cataract like without spects, with spects etc. Ask your doc.
