Q.

My 7 months old baby girl having fever around 101 and 102. I am giving her aidol 8 drops on the interval of 8 hours. When I was giving her medicine her fever is getting normal but after 3 hours her fever gets increasing. Still she is having fever from 18 hours. Should I go to pediatric or wait for some time. There is no others symptoms only she is feeling sleepy and sleepy on shoulders.

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hoursf again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
