Q.

My 6m 15d old daughter is doing very dark greenish black potty and that too hard. Is this sign of constipation? Anyone having any idea? What should I do?

A. Green colour stool is normal only,  If baby is passing urine minimum 6-8 times per day.  Don't give so much importance to motion unless blood in motion or bad smelling motion.   Consistently green stools in the breastfed baby can indicate an imbalance of foremilk/hindmilk,  often resulting in frothy green stools. ... Teething can also bring about green stools due to increased saliva.   A lot of green vegetables or something with green food coloring in mom's diet also cause green colour motion in baby.   ra

A. You may have started with external food for the child that may have created this problem because sometimes when you do not give of an amount of liquid fluids and fibre rich diet to the child after introducing semi solid food it happens so include the intake of liquids for the child
