A. Nighttime leg pain in a 6-year-old, often referred to as "growing pains," is common and usually not a cause for concern. It typically affects both legs, especially in the calves or thighs, and happens after active days. Since your doctor has confirmed it as normal, you can help by gently massaging the legs, using a warm compress, and ensuring your child gets enough hydration and rest. If the pain worsens, becomes one-sided, or is accompanied by swelling or limping, consult your doctor again for further evaluation.
