Q.

My 6 months old baby didn't poop for 3 days after starting solid food but pass only gas. Is this normal?

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme prepcggarations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. Constipation is generally normal for kids and then introduce semisolid food to the child so it can be a possible possibility that child can face constipation which is advisable to give good amount of water when you start with external food

Q. My son is 6.5 months old. He used to pass stool once in a day or once in 2 days before starting solid food. After starting solid food on completion of 6 months, he initially passed stool once every day and that was solid poop.However, since 2 3 days he is passing stool 3 4 times a day which is loose as it was while he was only breastfeeding. Is it normal!? Why his poop is not solid!? Sometimes poop seems black or green.
