my 6 month old had a little blood oozing out from his bcg scar..I accidently scratched the scab while bathing ...Should I worry?? Why is it taking a lot of time to heal??

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist5 years agoA. No you needn’t worry. It is supposed to heal slow. That’s how the vaccine works. It slowly creates immunity in the body and then pus forms in the scar site and it will burst open and heal all by itself. Do nothing. Don’t put any powder etc on the scar.

Jasmine Shiny DsouzaMom of a 7 yr 5 m old boy5 years agoA. hi Mom. do not worry about the BCG scar, usually it will swell then will form a puss then will break and will heal. it's a process and it will not harm the baby. if you have touched do not worry , nothing will happen. but make sure you do not touch that wound with nail,
