Q.

My 6 month old baby boy is thalassemic minor, and I can’t hive him dates as its rich in iron. Which sweetner can I use for him now instead of dates? And any suggestions on what food can I start giving him that are not rich in iron.

A. Jaggery and dates both are really rich and Iron so you cannot give any of these two things so you can check with the doctor they advise you to give Coconut Sugar maybe that can be helpful and food you can start with his Dal and rice water fruits and vegetables in gender avoid green leafy as it has high rich iron into that and then you can give Kiri porridge and items made out of ragi oats and Suji
