My 6 and half year old daughter is just 18 kgs. What should I give her to gain weight?

A. dear mum, for healthy weight gain of your 6 and half years old daughter, give a homemade balanced diet having a variety of food groups. grains and millets 4 servings pulses legumes/egg non veg: 1-2 servings seasonal vegetables including green leafy vegetables: 1.5 serving fruits - 1 serving milk and milk products 500ml sugar 4 tsp oil 5 tsp control intake of processed and packaged foods.

A. Nuts, seeds and avocados are healthy fat sources to help your child gain weight. Try adding nuts and seeds to cereal, salads, pasta and vegetables. Add avocado slices to sandwiches, burgers and salads or as a topper for scrambled eggs. Sauté or stir-fry vegetables, meat, chicken and fish in olive or canola oil.
