Q.
my 6.9yrs old boy caught cough and cold very easily and rapidly. his cough is very excessive. he does continue cough all day. visited Dr. many times but didn't get any good solution. please suggest me how should I take care of him and why this always happens with him.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expfgectorant bronchodilators or antitussives metdicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and if baby is getting cold and cough again and again then. It may be due to weak immune system and give baby giloy juice and tulsi drops in winter for better immune system and also give baby indirect steam twice a day.
