Q.

my 6.5 month baby used to take her day's last feed at around 1 am and then she used to sleep for 6-7 hours and if I try to feed her in between this time, she totally rejects and used to cry like anything and so I used to put her back to bed. Then at morning at around 7-8 am she woke up and demand for feed. my concern is that is this gap of 6-7 hours will hamper my baby's health or not?? please advice what to do

A. Your baby does not need to feed during the night. Most babies wake up at night because they are used to eating, but they do not need the nighttime calories to grow properly. If you are breast-feeding, try nursing from just one side at night, to decrease the amount of milk your baby gets from nighttime feedings.
