Azithromycin is a very heavy antibiotic it’s not meant to be given to the child until it is a situation where the problem is taking a lot of time to recover or it is associated with some major infection I don’t think it would be a good idea further if you me you should consult your doctor again for a lighter medication which is much light as per the age of your child
