CHETNAMom of a 7 m old girl2 weeks agoA. Most often, prolonged crying in a 4-month-old can be due to gas, hunger, overtiredness, discomfort, or simply needing comfort. ❤️
Try feeding if due, burping well, checking the diaper, holding/rocking gently, and keeping the room calm and dim. Gentle tummy massage or bicycle legs may help with gas.
Please don’t give any medicine, drops, or home remedies based on online recommendations without your pediatrician’s advice. At 4 months, babies are still very small and medicines should be given only when appropriate and at the correct dose.
If baby settles, feeds normally, and has no fever or other concerning symptoms, that’s reassuring. If crying remains completely inconsolable or baby seems unwell, contact your pediatrician.
