My 4 months old baby cries a lot due to constipation. it will release gas. but not popping for entire day or sometimes for 2 days. I need to know 1. Why it's happening every day and it cries a lot every day àround 2.30. 2. What is the remedy for this 3. When it releases gas, it smells very bad. What should be done to avoid such bad smell.

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can givevy bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoidfed before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medifcal supervision .
