my 3month 20 days old baby 4.2kg n birth weight was 2.7 kg .. height n head circle was normal..but weight was not gaining so much..what was the reason?

A. In the first few days after birth, it’s normal for babies to lose some weight. A formula-fed baby typically loses about 3 to 4 percent of their birth weight, while a breastfed baby may lose between 6 and 7 percent. By the end of 2 weeks, most babies will regain this weight, and by the end of the first year, they’ll likely triple their weight. If you’re breastfeeding, feed your baby every 2 to 3 hours. For formula-fed babies, start with 1 to 2 ounces every 2 to 3 hours and gradually increase as their tummy grows
