Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. yes baby will be sleeping almost 20 hours per day in the newborn period for more information and appropriate advice in this regard it is always advisable to consult your local doctor if there is need for investigations also and appropriate treatment

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. A baby occasionally sleeping for longer than usual is not a cause for concern unless there are other symptoms. In general, it is uncommon for a newborn to consistently sleep through feedings or to sleep for longer than 19 hours per day unless they are ill or are having feeding difficulties.
