Q.

my 3 years old daughter has urine infection and taking medicine levofloxacin 5 ml once daily.doctor has prescribed this medicine for 12 days. in the medicine leaflet I saw that the side effect of taking this medicine is jaundice. what should I do to prevent jaundice in my daughter ? and should I continue the medicine for 12 days? doctor please help.

A. generally for urine infections that can be different medicines depending on the sensitivity pattern the doctor will be prescribing the medicine your doctor may be known all the complications before giving the medicine

A. hi in uti you must follow your doctor's advice and give medicine as per your doctor's prescription. please keep your child well hydrated offer homemade healthy food. provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day dress your child in loose fitting Cotton clothes avoid using diapers maintain good hygiene.
