Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also.
it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day.
if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool.
also straining while passing urine and stool is normal.
Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes c
POOJA GOSWAMIMom of a 10 yr 6 m old girl3 years agoA. As the only foods infants take is either breastmilk or formula milk, it gets digested easily and comes out in the form of urine and sweat. Therefore, even if baby does not pass stool for 7-8 days, it is fine. As long as urine frequency is good and baby is active, there is no need to be concerned bout it. You can massage the stomach in circular motion and move legs in cycling rotation during body massage to improve digestion.
