A. Our child is 3 yrs 10 months. We are having a similar issue. Our child poops only in standing position in his underwear and refuses and cries to sit on any potty seat / potty chair / other alternative. Since he was 2 years, we have been patiently and consistently trying this with him in an encouraging manner, but no luck yet. Would be very grateful if you could share ideas / methods that worked in your child's case.

A. potty training and toilet training should be initiated as soon as the child completes one and half years of age. avoid before that except if you feel that the child is giving cues when he or she wants to pass stool. also good demonstration has to be given again and again to the child to reinnforce the habit. make the child sit on potty seat daily so that the child gets accustomed and not fearful of the seat and situation kindly go through various articles on potty training on firstcry.
