Q.
My 3.5 months old daughter is pooping extremely hard from past 15 days. She uses all her energy to poop and puts so much pressure on herself. Her poop is very hard that makes her to put all her effort while pooping. She is on formula feed and We are applying heeng once in a day but no improvement. What can be the cause and please suggest some remedy.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been starthed after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dosebg suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
