Q.

#Ask The Expert My baby is 8 months old and has started having solids. His poop is extremely hard and he puts lot of effort in pushing out it. kinldy suggest some food items which would help in relieving.

A. Start home based cereals based pulses enriched energy dens food in between fruit and vegetables, begin with mashed ripped banana one sitting continue for 2 to 3 days, if baby digested it well then introduce another new food like apple puree, over cooked rice, khichri in morning and switch banana in evening. Gradually baby will be on 3 to 4 semisolid diet in a day.
