Q.

My 3.5 months baby boy doesn't suck properly while breastfeeding. Whatever the milk comes he will drink but doesn't try to suck properly by his own. I started using breast pumps. I pump the extra milk after every feed. After pumping milk when can I give that milk to baby.

A. Hello dear parent! Breastmilk stays good for a couple of hours in room temperature and for 4 to 5 hours when refrigerated. Do not heat the cooled milk. Just get it back to room temperature before feeding it to the baby. Use airtight containers while storing. Be patient and persistent in your efforts to feed your baby. Good luck and take care.
