Q.
my 2yr 6mth old baby was having running nose,after consulting the doctor I gave him Clavam and sinarest plus syrup ,he was fine in the morning no running nose or fever..so I gave him lukewarm water with honey and Clavam and skipped sinarest plus becoz he wasn't complaining fr cold..bt in evening he started coughing so I gave him Ambrolite syrup. nw he is having fever and cough..so what should I do? should I continue with Clavam and Ambrolite syrup or Clavam and sinarest plus..please help

Cough and Cold needs to be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after the exact cause is diagnosed.it may be any infection or it may be allergic too.it is not so related to food items or climate but seasonal changes may aggravate the susceptibility to get infected.avoid refrigerated food items .maintain good immunity of the child with proper diet and supplements.
it may be associated with fever too for which calpol can be given three times a day..
As the first line of treatment for relief you can give steam inhalation which would be of great help .to relieve blocked nose nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given only after a proper evaluation according to the type of cough .self medication may not be so helpful so please consult your doctor once. if the cough is prodbuctive you can give brozeet-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.avoid refrigerated items and give simple hkome-made preparations a required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.
