my 2nd month baby is having runny nose what to do

Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce theh temperature and the dose can be repeated againu after 6 hours if required .

NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. hello u can use nasal drop or instant rub from babyhug which is effective and in regards to other medicines it is better to check with your doctor and she will be able to guide u accordingly which is better n also safe too n nothing to worry
