Q.

My 20 months baby was having polio injection, 2 of thighs n high fever since yesterday noon.. I gave him 4 dose of crosin & 3 times metfal as suggested by doctor still his fever is 101 now.. I gave these syrup asking his doctor but his is still not helpful

A. Hi, please complete the medicine course as suggested by the paediatrician. Usually itnwill take 2 to 3 days for fever to come down. Take a cotton napkins dip it in the normal water and squeeze the water and put it on the forehead. Put a thin cotton cloth make sure the temperature not rises more. Keep your baby well hydrated which is very important during fever. Avoid thick blankets used thin blankets. By the end of second or third day the fever will come down. Take little ice cubes wrap it with a thin cover and upon that wrap it with a cotton cloth and give gentle massage around the vaccination area which also helps in reducing the pain.
