my 20 days old baby got cough nd cold. doctor please suggest me

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which isv very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectvorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sowmya MMom of 4 children3 years agoA. hello actually as your baby is new born no self medication is recommended at all as a breastfeeding mother your food intake your habits should be good because whatever you take in the intake of food in the form of intercourt it comes in the form of baby consult your doctor once
