Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also.
it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day.
if the consisttency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can rrange from yellow brown green to black) of the stool.
also straining while passing urine and stool is normal.
Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes

Constipation is Rare in Breastfed Babies
Breastfed babies, especially if they have not started solid foods, can easily go two weeks without a poopy diaper once they are 2-3 months old. Breastmilk is exactly what your baby needs, and so there is little waste product left for the baby to poop out.
