Q.
My 2 month old baby is pooping like peanut butter. is this normal. he is exclusively breastfeeding.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. if the baby is not having any other problem and the baby is feeding well and is comfortable you should not worry constipation in small babies is very common and is more with formula milk. Usually constipation of few days is considered as normal in babies below 6 months of age,you can give bonnisan drops 3 times a day to your child will and give frequent feeding, usually medicoines or suppositories are avoided in such a case .if baby is having gastric pain you can give collicaid drops.give proper tummy time and burping to avoid gastric trouble.

if yes and if your child looks happy and active, gains enough weight,take feeds and sleep well then no need to worry about it much.
