A. Your 2.7-year-old son's light yellow, foggy, liquid stool could be due to several reasons, especially since he recently had cow’s milk. Here are some possible causes: Possible Reasons: Milk Intolerance or Malabsorption – Some children have difficulty digesting cow’s milk, leading to loose stools. If he has frequent loose stools after milk intake, it could be lactose intolerance. Viral Infection (Stomach Bug) – A mild stomach infection can cause temporary loose stools. Dietary Changes – If he recently ate something new or had excessive dairy, it could affect digestion. Teething – Some toddlers have loose stools during teething due to increased saliva swallowing. Mild Food Poisoning – If he ate something that didn’t suit him, his body might be clearing it out. What You Can Do: ✅ Monitor Hydration – Give plenty of fluids like water, coconut water, and ORS if stools continue. ✅ Reduce Dairy for a Few Days – See if avoiding cow’s milk improves his condition. You can give curd instead. ✅ Offer Easy-to-Digest Foods – Rice, moong dal, and khichdi. Mashed banana, boiled apple. Curd with a little sugar or rice. ✅ Observe for Other Symptoms – If he has fever, vomiting, or dehydration (less urination, dry lips), consult a doctor. If the loose stools persist for more than 2–3 days or become watery with mucus, it’s best to check with a pediatrician. Has he had similar issues before after drinking cow’s milk?
