A. If your 2.5-year-old baby boy is not burping properly and experiencing reflux despite keeping him upright, consider the following: 1. Smaller Meals: Offer smaller, more frequent meals to avoid overfilling his stomach. 2. Feeding Position: Ensure he is in an upright position while eating and drinking. 3. Burping Techniques: Try gentle pats on the back, moving your hand in a circular motion or changing his position, such as holding him upright against your chest or sitting him on your lap with support. 4. Monitor Diet: Avoid foods that may trigger reflux, such as acidic, fried, or spicy foods, and ensure he eats slowly. 5. Consult a Pediatrician: If reflux persists, consult a doctor to rule out gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or other issues. Medication or specific guidance may be required. Consistency and gentle techniques often help manage reflux effectively.
