Q.

my 1year old baby had fever 102 on Friday night for which I gave him whole day but it was coming and going but at night it again started and I took him to doctor. he said my baby has pneumonia and gave medicines..After taking 2dose medicine at night his fever gone to 104 and he started getting fits and then slowly came down in 4hours..yesterday I gave him medicines he was active baby..yesterday night fever came down completely but after 3hours again goes to 101..is it normal?

A. yes seen in such caeses you have to give paracetamol according to the weight and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having. it can be repeated maximum 4 times per day. armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever weather higher medicines like ibugesic or meftal p is required or not will be told by the doctor. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever important to avoid them if possible. do body sponge to decrease the body temperature and give plenty of fluids and water to drink to prevent dehydration.
