Q.

My 19 months old son resists when I (his father) tries to put him to sleep.Je wants only his mom to put him to sleep.What can I do to put him to sleep

A. Thanks for the response Rashmi. Just to clarify , except putting him to sleep, I do everything for him like Feeding , batheing , diaper changing , playing , outdoor activities with him. You name it and I can say I am doing it . It is just that he wants only his mom to put him to sleep. I am clueless as to why he does not allow me to put him to sleep even though I do all his chores .

A. Sleep Cycle in smaller babies is very different and they have a certain pattern initially which becomes regularize at around 6 to 8 months of age and if the baby is comfortable with no irritability because of infantile colic jjnasal blockage any regurgitation etc you should not worry just give a comfortable posithion to the baby and no medicine is required.

A. If you really want work in your favour then apart from this the time more time with yourself what happens is the mother is doing every thing for the child from the date of birth itself so they know that this one is only going to do every thing for me so if you think that you are just suddenly go and make your child sleep it is not going to work you have to create that bond with your childWrite Your Answer Here
