You have to stop that for the baby now, as otherwise they will not learn it.
Give them soft foods .
also try to teach in a play way method,
give them food from your plate , make them sit along when you are eating

you should start giving thick purees or well mashed food items
to encourage your child , gradually increase the food consistency
or encourage your child by giving finger food items
