Q.

My 17 month old daughter havenot started walking independently. Though she walks while holding my finger and holding sofa or some support. However she walks independently only while on bed but not on floor. Is it normal? What should i do for her to start walking independently?

A. There are two things either your child is just scared of walking independently with the fear of falling down all your child is having some issues now it is high time that you visit your doctor because it is a delay in reaching the milestone
