Q.

My 15 month son is diagnosed with fistula near anal. paediatric surgeon has suggested I and D fistulectomy where medicated thread will be used to cure fistula which will be replaced everyweek till 3-4 weeks. just wanted to know whether this is the appropriate treatment for curing fistula in babies.

Yes I am very sure otherwise the doctor would have never suggested you the same but since it’s a big thing basically I would advise you to take one more opinion with a doctor on a personal level specially with the surgeon who is going to perform the thing so you will have a better better clarity that way
