Q.

my 14 month old normally tip toes holding furniture. isn't walking independently yet. She also recently started knee walking. is this normal? how can I help her walk on feet independently.

A. thank you dr. I recently stopped her massage. should I continue and for how long? also is knee walking normal?

A. walking with support will come any time between 9 months to 15 months of age. walking without support will come maximum by 18 months of age so before that there is no need to worry and you have to just continue reguladr diet of the child( food made from cereals pulses fruits veggies milk) as well as baby massage and regular massage will also help in improving the muscle strength which will help in walking. regular encouragement for the child to walk

A. Okay make your child wear proper shoes and sandals with a strong base so your child would be bound to keep their feet straight always second it’s very common to walk with furniture or support in this is a child would learn to walk independently by the time of 12 to 17 months you still are left with some more time
