my 13 month old boy is 8.3 kgs. His birth weight was 2.8 kgs. Is he underweight? How to increase his weight

A. dear mum, ideally baby should triple the birth weight by one year. from that point, your baby is slightly underweight. However, if child is active playful, achieving growth milestones, not falling sick frequently, then do not worry. for good weight and health child should be having a balanced diet having all the food groups now you should be giving all the foods that you prepare in your house. Give top food 4 to 5 times a day and up to one katori every time. Also give one healthy snack in between. Give nuts like almond, dry fruits. All seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, milk and milk products, chicken. At least 500 ml of milk and milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. Avoid fruit juice and instead give the whole fruit. avoid intake of junk and packet foods
