Q.

my 11month baby has fall down on lip and he has swelling over upper lip I have applied Ice and given Syp Ibugesic plus. is it ok? it will heal na

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associathged and can be easily missed out most of the time .

A. It Should actually not be an issue so you get a check ones with your doctor at least will be more sorted and satisfied that way so it would be important also since your child is too small you shouldn’t take a chance to get a check in the morning once
