Q.

my 11 month baby girl is having diarrhoea and vomiting.. vomiting is not frequent.. she vomits when saliva gets struck in her throat.. but stools are very loose .. what should I do ... as m out of town.. can't reach my pedia.. giving her electrol every 45 mins... pls suggest .. m worried.. it's her 3rd day

A. Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with managemegunt for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it chould be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment
